School Council

Order! Order!

During the first term, the elected school council travelled to London to visit the Houses of Parliament. They had a tour of the House of Lords and House of Commons, they even got to see the Throning Room where the monarch prepares for the State Opening of Parliament.

 

At the end of the tour, the school council took part in a workshop and debated whether smoking should be banned completely or not. During the workshop, a member of Sir Robert Buckland's team (our local MP) came to visit us. The children had a wonderful time.  

 

Y6 Disco

At the most recent Y6 School Valentine's Disco, the Y6 councillors helped to run the stall where children could buy drinks and themed gifts.

Future Plans

At the next meeting, the School Council will be talking about how they will be supporting the Summer Fayre and other ideas they have to make the school an even better place to learn within.
