PE Days
PE is on the following days and children must come to school in PE kit on those days.
Cherry Class- Wednesday
Ivy and Heron Class- Thursday
Homework
Homework will be sent home on Friday and is due in the following Wednesday.
Please ensure your child has their reading record and reading books in school every day. Your child will come home with a Read Write Inc paper homework book and Matching Read Write Inc coloured reading book. If your child is in a VIPERS group they will come home with a chapter book.
Your child would benefit from reading every evening with an adult. Please record your child's reading in their reading record.
Writing in year 2
We are exploring a range of different books in writing such as 'Charlie's Super Hero Underpants' and 'Handa's Surprise'.

Thursday 9 May 2024 STEAM trip Year 2 enjoyed a great educational trip to the STEAM museum, exploring and learning more about the life of George and Robert Stephenson and Isambard Kingdom Brunel through an interactive lesson. They then had plenty of time in groups to walk through the museum and learn more about life during that time.
